A qualified medical Doctor since 2009, and in the field of Ophthalmology since 2013. He has worked in several public and private health care facilities including St John’s Eye hospital, Pretoria Eye Institute and Kalafong Hospital.
Dr Gani currently heads the retinal clinic at Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital and was an examiner for the College of Ophthalmologists. On completing a mini fellowship at the European Vitreo Retinal Training School in Retinal Surgery, he pursued his dream and opened an all in one eye care centre. His goal in life is to improve the quality of life for others. He strives to provide excellence in eye care.
Dr Gani has a passion for state of the art technology and this passion is evident once you visit Vision Clinic. From the latest equipment to one of the world’s fastest OCT machine, the clinic has it all. OCT angiography allows the Doctor to view the blood vessels at the back of the eye and even assess for the earliest of damages prior to patients losing vision. Soon to be introducing AI (Artificial Intelligence) to assess for early pathology of the eye.
